Note: Nigerian sound artist Emeka Ogboh went to Berlin in 2014 on DAAD residency program, after which he led his life, as an artist, traveling between Europe and Lagos, the largest Nigerian city. In 2015, his project, for which refugees sang the German national anthem The Song of the Germans in their mother tongues, was shown at the Venice Biennale curated by Okwui Enwezor and has gradually made his name known in the Western art world. Ogboh tailored the beer-brewing project "Sufferhead Original - Kassel Edition" for Documenta, at which 50,000 limited matte-black bottles of beer were sold, and the promotional information on all sorts of media. The author interviewed Ogboh at the artist's studio in Friedenau, Berlin; in the interview, the artist talked about how he had become a brewer as well as transformed his original idea through alcoholic fermentation.
