The Power of Image: the Documentation and the Narrative in Hsu Chia-Wei’s Spirit Writing
形象的力量:〈神靈的書寫〉的記錄與敘事問題
September 29th, 2017Type: Image
Author: Wang, Po-wei Editor: Rikey Tenn
Quote From: 《現代美術季刊》no.184
Note: The author elaborates on the connection between the performers and the representation of the order in "Spirit Writing". Hsu Chia-Wei, presented on the screen as the subject being filmed, does not only participates in the process of image production as an artist but also plays the role of a “believer.” Through this article, we can understand how "Marshal Tie Jia" as “the representation of the order” is integrated with the virtual images constructed by 3D modeling through the interaction between the believers and the “invisible theophany.”
